Opened for only 3 hours daily on weekdays, Dazzling Delish at Circular Road may be mistaken as a bespoke bar at a glance.

While you are there, you can also check out WhiteTree Café nearby.

With only 4 high stools inside lined along the tall bar counter, there is a certain charm to this space, equipped with gold plated furnitures, terrazzo counter table and 3 huge arch mirrors.

Dazzling Delish specialises in Japanese Sando (sandwiches) with either sweet or savoury fillings, unfolded to reveal their cross sections for visual purposes.

Each Savory Sando is priced at $10 with Japanese elements incorporated such as Smoked Chicken & Egg, Truffle & Chive Egg Mayo, Ume Shiso and Smoked Salmon.

Customers can opt for the “Omakase Set” ($19) that comes with a Sando, Soup and Salad. Not sure if it is the most correct use of thhe word “Omakase” though.

Usually, Shokupan (Japanese milk bread) is used for the Sando with their crusts removed, giving it a soft and fluffy texture with a sweet and milky taste.

While the bread used is not made in-house, the individual components within the Sando were all prepared there.

The Truffle & Chive Egg Mayo Sando ($10) comes with a layer of sliced cucumber, truffle egg mayo with onions seasoned with black pepper and Ajitama Egg (ramen egg).

The flavours are on the richer side, hearty and creamy, lightly seasoned by the black pepper with a light truffle scent, and textured by the crunchy onion bits in it.

Their Sweet Sando ($8 – $12) comes mostly in the form of Fruit Sando: Banana ($8), Golden Kiwi ($8), Mango ($8), Red Grape ($10) and Red Strawberry ($10).

The more interesting Japanese versions include Azuki Red Bean ($8), Mikan – Mandarin Orange ($10), Green Grape – Muscat ($12) and White Strawberry ($12).

Using fresh fruits with whipped cream sandwiched between 2 slices of bread, the cross sections of the fruits embedded made the Sando look more appetising with the vibrant colours.

Overall, the mikan used was sweet and juicy, though I wished that the whipped cream used could be lighter and more airy.

Coffee beans are supplied by Santino Coffee Specialists for their espresso-based drinks and consisted of Long Black ($4.50), Latte ($5.50) and Cappuccino ($5.50) on their menu.

Non-espresso based drinks include Noah’s Juice ($5), Badoit Sparkling ($4.50) and Evian Spring Water ($2.50).

Currently, Dazzling Delish mainly serves the CBD crowd, and note that they are only opened for 3 hours from 11am till 2pm on weekdays.
